Asia-based American photographer David Hagerman specializes in food, travel, street photography and portraiture. He is on the masthead at Travel+Leisure Southeast Asia, is a Contributor at food and wine website ZesterDaily.com and also photographs for the New York Times Travel Section, Saveur, Wall Street JournalSBS Feast (Australia), Sabor (The Netherlands) and the International Herald Tribune.

Editorial assignments in Turkey have taken David from Istanbul to Gaziantep and Mardin in the country’s southeast, and to villages and fishing towns on its Aegean and Black Sea coasts and to Kars, in the far northeast. He is currently collaborating with his writer wife on a Turkish cookbook, to be published by Rux Martin Books / Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (USA) in 2016.

David has been leading private and small-group photography workshops in his home base of Penang, Malaysia and in Chiang Mai, Thailand since 2010.
